Brows you like !

Well over the years I have  seen brows and I ha've seen brows , I have seen some I like , some I hate and some I just don't want to get close too ... Now what is  it will these over the top 3D brow , sorry but on some girls it looks Mad ... Eyebrow is suppose to be left alone and brush up or well defined and groom  but lately I have been seeing some eyebrows that just wrong , not worth my time of day ,eyebrows frame the face a great pair of brow can be all the make-up you need , it amazeing how fresh and beautiful your face can look after having your brows groom , you  can wax it , tweeze it, thread  it there really is no excuse . For badly unkept brows  come on sister's  do it for yourself .. get them eyebrow done all ready . I mean just have a look .

I mean REALLY . 

What is the meaning of all this ..I mean come on  , can somebody something .... 

Well honey this is not the way to do it! 

It need to look something like this ... 

I did this for a shoot ..and I am more that happy to tell you how  i did it ,it got to look natural , got to be well blended and the eyebrows need to be well define. 

But first you need all the right product with you first ..now to start with you need ... 

1,Highlighting powder : try Karen Salandy by VB .New Highlighting mineral finishing powder, in Canary I , 2 or 3 depending on your skin  colour tone .  Dust over face . 

2, A Brow kit , there are many out there high end and low end .. This one is from Fashionista at Superdrugs . 

3 , or if not Brown or  Drk Brown Eyeshadow with no shimmer  best if its completely Matt ..can find them most places I got 1 from MUA  No 19  just £1 at super drug . 

4,concealer , a shade lighter is good , cream or liq which ever work use -up all your old concealer you only need a tiny bit to clean up brows , I use Mac studio finish , NYx , or Ben Nye , because they never get greasy and the stay put . 

5, Eyebrow pencil ..to match your brow shade .

And tools 

Eyebrow Angle brush 

Concealer Brush

My fave is from Real Technique at Superdrugs ...but any small and flat  concealer brush will do .

Small scissors

Tweezers  

Now follow these simple steps 

First useing your spoolie or brow groomer brush your brows up ,  some brow pencils come with a groomer or spoole on the end , or used and old clean mascara brush , or an old tooth brush , trim if need be  long hairs from brows and tweeze out any stray hairs .. 

I all apply primer or eyeshadow base to brows , when help my brows to set and last longer ...but it will be your choice . 

So in  the images above . 

1 and 2  draw your natural brows  in top and bottom using your eyebrow pencil 

3, brush out hash lines useing your eyebrow groomer or spoolie .And fill in brow with the eyeshadows to match your brows with your angle brow brush  , weather it's from a eyebrow kit  or you useing an eyeshadow its best to use a matt finish. 

4, clean off top and bottom of brows useing your concealer  and your concealer brush work very carefully around your brows . 

5 , Bend and build up your brows useing soft stroke and define your brows . 

6, brush brows again with spoolie and at this point you can fix brow using a clear mascara , ok some brow kit  come with a fixing wax , this will hold it in place . 

7 , clean up brows with the concealer once again both top and bottom useing the concealer brush  go up into the arch of your brows and gently clean up the area around blending out the concealer into your skin with just a hit of highlight . 

Fix brow with a fix it spray or Hairspray works just fine remember to close your eye when applying hairspray to your make-up . .

Smokey  eyes .

I can go on for ever about what you do and don't  do when comeing to applying make-up ... But it will only fall on deaf ear , but I have to stand my corner about don't and does when comeing to applying  smokey eyes , first of all it's the most taught after style of make-up  , everybody and their Aunty wants smokey eyes ,  but it not a look that suites  evey eye shape , if you hava small and tiny  eyes, smokey will make them look smaller more like piss holes in the snow.

It also has to be done right or you can look like you have been punch in the eyes  a few times , take your time and do it right , start off soft and build up the look take time and look in the mirror , make small changes its like painting a picture ....keyword ......blend,blend,blend,and more blend , but my pet hate has got to be and  is the  point i am trying to make  is teaming smokey eyes with dark lips .

That  only work at Holloween Night ...   Fashion shows  , Rocky Horror show or editoral shoots ........

The look is smokey eyes and nude lips .... Oh yes .. Now that look stunning   ... Do you know you can use other than black for smokey eyes ? You can my chicks , try navy blues,darkest green , dark plums and very dark chocolate browns .

. And"" metal  greys are very hot and sexy at the Xmas office party seasons  how about add some glitter siliver glitter on black eyeshadow look devine its quick  , it's Stylelish and it effortless   .... Well  if you  been doing it a few times ....

So get into the party mood  , be different be creative ,  be innovation, be fabulous  remember you can go as smokey as you like  on eyes and keep  it  natural nude on lips or even lip gloss with a hit of pearl 

, golds or shimmering pink to highlight center of the lip  Yes go ahead dub some of the silver or gold  glitter you brought right in the middle of those fabulous lips of yours , just set off the Look ... Karen's Rules .

You will need 

For eyes

For beginner stick to just two colours . One a light colour shimmer and on a very drk matt . 

Any colour of your choice 

Black , brown ,drk green , or dark plum eyeshadow 

Black,brown,drk green,or drk plum eye pencil 

Gold,Silver,shimmering rose pinks , shimmering beige , metallic greys , plums,greens , white .

Gel eyeliners

Mascara

False eyelashes

 

 

Take your time to build the look .

Don't apply concealer and  foundation under the eye till after you have finish with your smokey eye ... You get achived a better clean finish to your make-up .

Getting the look for Miror wedding Mag

After I prep the skin with a primer ,I then prep the eyes with Mac eyeshadow base , this help the eyeshadow to stay on all day with no lines or creases in the sockets of the eyes . 

The  sleek " oh So Special eyeshadow , has a wonderful blend of pinks that warm the skin tone up . 

My model is looking fab ... She's now looking like a beautiful bride .. 

The blusher is Sleek  and part of the nude collection ...eyebrows I just brush a little of the chocolate brown eye shade in the Au Natural palette ... Lip I  had created from  bespoke customblend  for mee by Vanessa Blake cosmetics and last I used my Highlight finishing powder on face , forehead and undereyes to Achive that flewless finish to the skin in shade Canary 2 and Canary gold . 

 I added some eyelashes alone side the black gel eyeliner I framed her eyes with  to give my bride    a mix between a wedding and red carpet look .... I love  how natural she looks yet very glam.

The Wedding Season season is comeing to and end .

Y For 4 months of year ..I am almost fully book ,the wedding season kicks in about May ..but I always working on preping for weddings all year round , 5 of my wedding this year booked  me a year in advance ,I visits all the beauty shows buy all the wedding and bridal Mags in search of gaining more and more information on new treatments and make-up technique that will make that day that much special for my brides .. This year I was delighted when I was ask to do a shoot for a new Wedding magazine and my work made the cover .. 

That New magazine  is Called Miror . 

How did I achieved the Look . 

Sleek cosmetic  is always  my first choice 

Alone side with  Mac And bits of other brands mix in . Long as I find beautiful nude shade with strong pigments ,staying power,and blend and a bit of know how I can work with most brands and do not have a Fav

 .. I just reaches for my Sleek palette more .. 

In this case I am useing Au Natural palette the Nude collection mix with the Oh soo pretty palette the pinks and pastels from that palette works very well on most skin tones.

Lips on service

Try this summer keep your make-up light , there are no need for heavy full face make -up , let your skin breath a bit  ... Keep it simple with a bit of an edge .... You will need to keep up with your skin treatment to get the best out your skin , Cleanse , tone , mosturize ...this is a must twice a day every day ...I love and believe in great skincare good skin is the true beauty  soo once you keeping  up with  it  thats good , have a look at some images to give you an idea , with wedding , parties in the park , festivals,carnival simple look with a pop of colour works every time .

Maybelline eyestudio colour tattoo 24 hour cream gel eyeshadow is fabulous .

I have fallen madly inlove with Maybelline cream eyeshadow gel , these colour tattoo really are a dream produce and a make-up  must have for you make-up lovers , I know I can't do with out them I now have most colours in my kit ...multi is the word , its a cream eyeshadow ,an eyeshadow primer,a gel eyeliner,and a undereye colour corrector concealer ... I kid you not my beauties .... it just too fabulous ...... if like me and  you have dark bluish undertone ,than try colour Fierce tangy the orange tone I mix with a little foundation and dub with my fingers and job done a little powder  to set it Ben Nye Banana powder or if you have my must have  own brand Canary highlight powder that's all you need for a flewless finish .  

The pigment are great . 

 As a cream eyeshadow the colours are very intense . 

  Try it as a eyeshadow primer , it really hold the colour for 24 hours . 

My three Fav shade for natural look . 

Pomegranate pink, Bad to the Bronze and Bold Gold ... These three shade are ideal for wedding . And Fav by most of my brides , because I want my bride make-up too last all day I use these shade as base and primer for other  powder eyeshadow of choice. 

This lovely orange shade Fierce trangy is my must have I use it as a undereye concealer  and set with my own brand Canary highlighting  powder.

As a gel I liner the colour just pop and come in great season summer shades . 

All colours are  great .. But the white one I am sure would be a great eye primer for all colours its a bit like NYX pencile in milk ... But for some reason always  sold out ... With a name like Too cool ...well what so cool about that ...I have to have it . 

Planning The Look.

JPlanning the look , is all ways bit challengeing for me but love it all the same , the key note is to Listening I listen very carefully to want the designer wants , when and if the designer wants and ask for my imput do I give it ,I love working with Hazel Agreey Orleans , because she trust me  and go with most of my ideas But I always  give her the last word  , 

Planing an Advertising / editorials compaign shoot , and planning a Lookbook shoot is too very different planning .

An Editorial shoot , we will more than likely have a much bigger team  assisting the shoot , a great fashion Photograper is a must , assistant to the Designer , who help with ironing , sorting the collection ect , a hairstylist , a make--up artist ,a fashion stylist and Photograper will also have their assistants on hand ,

The Lookbook shoot , team will be 

Designer, or Stylist ,the make-up/hair , Photograper . What ever shoot I am working I will alway plan my look using mood board ,once I am brief by the designer , I then get  to work I have to know what fabrics and Colours I am working with , the concept of the collection , are we working on winter, are working on summer , I buy hundred of fashion and style mag looking at trend,I tend to make up my own Colour make-up palettes , to match  Colours of the collection , I  am in and out of make-up shop at  least once a week spending a small fortune on make-up because I have to get it right . I can never have too many lipsticks ,my passion is flewless skin soo concealers, foundations and powders is the love of my life . With out them I can't do my job . My latest published shoot with Oki Orleans  inspired mee to write start this blog  ,this shoot inspire mee in sooo many ways ... 

When I am planning and Makeing my eyeshadow palette I am inspire by many thing around with my iPhone at hand a simple walk in the park ,the flowers and ferns are god beautiful and natural creation ,and colour that catches my eye is snap and  i than go away  and try to find the colour within my kit if not try to create the colour myself as well  as

looking on the net .
